Default Hood Pin Question

I am thinking about getting hood pins to be on the safe side.

Which ones should I get? Link 1 or link 2?

all you have to do is drill 1 big hole for the pin and 3 little holes to screw the hood pin to the hood. Its fairly easy

The hood pin has to be screwed to the hood? How do the hood pins work? I am kinda confused.

EDIT: Do these look like good hood pins or should I just get the ones in the second link? These are from Ebay:

Get good ones.... like Sparco or something. The cheap ones will eventually rust and sometimes bend.

Just install them on your upper radiator support. Make sure your hood is the way u want it first before you do anything. Then put some white out on the top of the hood pin holder that sticks out from the upper radiator support and it will mark the hood. Then drill the holes. The Hood pins should also come with directions
Good luck
