yeah link 2 was deff the nicer ones, I was debating on hood pins when i got my hood, but i didn't wanna ruin the CarbonFiber by drilling holes...The hood is too nice to mess up.

I figured out how to install them. All I needed was a closeup picture of a hood pin:



Which was do I install them. They way in the above picture or like this:

I will do it either way but it seems like more people do it the way in the first pic.

Here's how I installed my old hood pins:

I took some red nail polish from my wife and painted the tops of the posts after I'd installed them in the place I wanted them. With the paint still wet, I lowered the hood so that it would touch the wet paint. When I lifted the hood back up, I could see right where I needed to drill into the hood. I recommend using a Dremel if you have access to one, and a very small drill bit.

I have locking hood pens there great. It takes more time to get under the hood but its worth the 6 extra sec.
