Default CF hood probs

My hood has a 'haze' on it. It seems to be oxidation or heat related. So I'm wondering:

1) what exactly is the prob.
2) is it avoidable
3) how can I fix it...if its fixable

at first it wasn't too bad, but now its across my whole hood and it looks really stupid, especially after I wash/polish/wax the rest of my car. I hope I don't have to buy a new hood, but if this isn't fixable then thats what I'll do.

my guess is that it's the clearcoat they used. sometimes the sun can destroy your clear coat, and if thats the case, it can be fixed, it's just going to take some time and someone who can shoot new clear.

It pretty much depends on the clear clost they use, didn't clear coats have different life spands on it holding up. Just make sure they use a good clear coat.

I'm actually not sure, it came with my car when I bought it. I PM'd the guy I got it from to see where he got it from so when I find out I'll post.

I have the same problem with my VIS invader CF hood. Not really sure if the hood was clearcoated as it's becoming really dull. It's not really oxidation, it just doesn't have the shine and luster as it did when I first got it. It's as if they just buffed the gelcoat to a real good shine. Now there is no wax/polish that I use that could bring the shine back. I might have to get it professionally done to get buffed and finally clearcoated to maintain it.

I had the same problem when it started to get little scratches on it. So I waxed it in the SUN which was a bad idea. It ended up fadeing and looking bad and looking like it had little swirls on it. So I just dropped it off for a clearcoat yesterday at a guy locally. He wanted 70 bucks and he said he can get it looking good again. Its a www.importfan.com hood and it has a crack underneath because I left a tool under my hood. Im selling it but yes its fixable.

I'm thinking of dropping off the hood at the place where I got my car painted at, but he charges too much (though he does really good work) but I'm hesitant as I'm not really sure if he'll know what to do with the hood. Plus I'm debating on selling the hood so I could get an OEM style CF hood.
