They used to do this on older cars.

It is a very trendy thing to do.

They, however, never look the same as the old cars. They used to use zirconium chromate. Really toxic. Really bad for you.

examples of flat black...




I like flat black paint. (I have can sitting beside me!) It's so easy to care for; wash & blot dry. If there's any imperfections/scratches, just touch it up with spray paint. If it didn't look awkward, I would spray paint my bumpers flat black.

Go Buy The Newest Issue Of Sport Compact Car...they Took A Blue Wrx Sti, Sanded That Bitch Down, And Painted It Flat Black With 25 Cans Of Krylon Rust Tough Paint, It Looks Bad Fukin Ass...there Is An Entire Step By Step Of The Whole Process In The Book With Plenty Of Pics...flat Black Is Tha Shit, If U Do It, Make Sure U Post Pics So We Can See How It Comes Out...holla

i would suggest semi-gloss or matt black first it has very little to no shine test all 3 variations of non-glossy black and see which one you like

i was in las vegas recently. there was a big ol bronco painted flat black with glossy blue flames running down the front fenders. looked dope as hell.

i got the new sport compact....sad to say, i think i'm gonna stay away from it....it's becoming to popular....i'll have to find some other type of paint job that's sweet looking, yet original...thanks for the help guys
