Default Paint?

I am thinking about getting my 97 Civic painted. The paint is starting to fade, and the silver color is starting to lose some of its shine. I would like to get it painted black, but don't want to spend over $500. What are some recomendations to get a good paint job for this price? Its just my daily driver, not something I would put on a showfloor, but I want a nice shine and want it to be durable.

thanks

$500.

If you have someone to hook you up than thats a good price, but for $500 you can probably get a touch up for that price

500 dollars won't get to effort needed to get a nice paint job...
if you sould hand sand and mask everything yourself.. and have it towed to a paint shop
maybe u can save a couple hundred likethat

Yea 500 may be a sloppy job unless you know the people depending on the amount of dings you want removed and minor body work you should look in the price range of at least 1000 to 1500..

Maaco, you get what you pay for. I know of MANY people that had some pretty crappy jobs from them, but there are those who will always say it's good since that's what they got.

You're probably better off if you just have it resprayed in silver again. Or maybe even just a slightly different shade of silver. Otherwise, you're gonna have to spend more than 500 to get a good paint job.

I painted my car myself and spent more than $500 in materials alone. The only chance you have is to find a guy going to college in auto body that will do the work for little to nothing and use a low price paint.
