How high is his header? If anything, it might hit your valve cover (which it doesn't on mine anyways) before it'll hit the header.

Does the first picture look like a Real VIS hood? The reason I asked is I talked to RiceBurninVTEC last night and he said the hood latch or decal does not look the same as his VIS hood. Here is a picture of how he said his hood latch looked like. And here is a picture of how his decal looks.

I found a used VIS OEM style hood on Ebay for $200 buy it now. He says it has been used for 6 months. Do you think I should buy it or should I go with a new one? here are some pics of it.

without hood pins the hood MIGHT break off and hurt you or someone else, AND do a LOT of damage.....

I Just bought the VIS hood that I was talking about. I think it was worth it. Shipping is going to be around $50. I can't wait to get it. As soon as I get it on I will post pics of my car.

Also, brand does play into the equasion because the better brands secure their latches better so there is less need for the pins. I may eat my words one day, but I don't see a need for them if you have a very well made hood. Although, better safe than sorry is great advice.
Do you still have the hood pins? Are you willing to sell them?

If I do get hood pins how do I install them? Is there any write up or instructions on how to install them?
