Default HELP...need to fix my wheels

heres the story....My rims (RH C5 Evo's) were stolen from my garage about 2 months ago. Saw them on a car about a block from my house painted black about a month ago. Worked with Police and finally got them back a few days ago. Now they have some ugly curb scrapes and they also got a little scratched, but the worse thing is that they were painted black and they now look very ugly. I think it was done with spray paint or something like it because the paint comed off in some areas. Is there any way to get them back to the original polished way they were before they were stolen??? Or does anyone know of any shops in Fresno that can repair them??

I was told to use paint thinner/stripper but im afraid it will remove the original silver powder finish thats underneath the black paint. Will it work???

If I cant fix them, then most likely im going to sell them. Anyone want some black racing hart c5's????

If you don't want to tackle the job yourself, have a professional work on it. Take it to a body shop and see if they could remove all of the black paint off for you. Knowing that the paint is flaking off at certain places, most likely they've done a really poor job in painting it and would probably be easier to take off than you think.

i would use paint stripped, get rid of the paint and clear coat off the rin,
then get it professionaly clear coated.

Don't touch them!!! Take the bastards to court and make them buy you new rims. They ruined them, they should have to pay for them.

Take pictures, call your insurance company, hire an attorney!!!
