Window Pitting?
I've head of different 'window polishes' that help with this. Also, these winters take a toll on my windows, you can see where the wipe blades clean the window off and it's hard to get off.
Do any of you have experience with any product inparticular that help pitting, and cleaning the window? Thanks

Once they are pitted where its noticeable there is not much you can do. If the pits are very minor you can buff the windows with a car buffer (but be careful you have to keep it at low speeds because if the windows get to hot they will shatter). I have also herd that Coke will take pits out of windows (but I have never tried it). I hope this helps some

What exactly do you do with the coke? Spray it on like window cleaner or let it soak (don't really know how you could do that to a window though)?

Yes thats what I hear just spray it on like windex and let it sit for a minute. From what I hear the acid in the Coke will get rid of the pits in the windows. Now like I said I have heard of this but I have no clue if it will work.

I guess I should be the guinea pig and try this out. I have about 2 star chips and a big ugly scratch (unfortunately I did that scratch myself

I have 1 star and 1 pock mark from a chip I had filled... roads here suck though.

My mom's car got one and we used one of those star chip repair things that you get at pep boys. You inject some kind of clear gel into the windshield that supposedly repairs it. It didn't get rid of it completely, but it did reduce the size of the chip. Could hardly tell that it was there until you point it out. Plus I think it helps prevent from turning the star into a crack.
I've asked around, and a new windshield for my car is $105USD. That was the cheapest I could find and this is installeld wherever (work, school or home). At that price, you would've thought that I'd change my windshield already.
