Are there any significant changes between the years since it first came out? I thinking of picking up a new 2002, but if there isnt a big change, such as power or anything, i might go for a used 2000/2001 model. Only thing im afraid of is buying a used car knowing that the newer year model is better LOL

 

the most significant change from 00, 01 to 02 is the glass rear window. The 00, and 01 has a plastic window. The 02 has a glass window, door tweeters, new radio unit, different shift knob, and the center console is wrapped in leather

 

Hmm I guess there is not much change as to the car mechanically, although a rear glass window would be very nice. Thanks for the response!

 

How about the 2003 S2Ks? Any word on if there will be any substantial changes from the 2002?

 

I thought they tweaked the tranny a bit?

 

they tweaked a few mechanical stuff, including the gear grinding from 2 to 3rd gear i beleive and a few other tweaks...

 

Yes, for the 2000, 2001 everything is about the same. As for the 2002 they went with :

1) Door tweeters
2) Chrome around the tailights(both circles)
3) Different shift knob
4) Fixed the 2nd gear grind
5) nice looking caps for the headrests(the back of the headrest) they added color vs just being black
