More like 1.5 quarts... it's a five quart system ( at least the AP2's are ). But still... I've heard they deal with low oil pretty well... Had a local guy's oil filter come off mid track during DE event... no motor damage...

For the AP1 oil capacity is 5.9 for engine overhaul, 5.1 for oil/filter change, 4.8 for oil change w/o filter. volumes are all US qts. I check my level and its maybe now too high. Level sits just at the H on the dipstick.

Why don't you change the oil? If it's really been that long, that's what you need...not just a top off. That's why your oil level is too high now...you blindly dumped in a ton of oil. Change that shit asap.

really man. itll cost you around thirty bux for a premium filter and synthetic. or u could spend around 20 for a good filter and regular oil. either way its better then what you did

Oh yeah no doubt, thats what i have planned for monday. I think its better what i did rather than drive it another day with no oil. I was heading to work and needed a fix (a temporary band-aid, key word temporary) that was no means my resolution.

But I would hardly call what I did topping-off. More than 70% was added.

FYI: As i was checking out the owners manual, it actually said the oil light will flash and go off meaning "check your oil its getting low" or remain on when "you're a dumbass and have no oil."

Make sure you know the difference between a timing chain tensoiner going bad and valve tick. Seems like it was probly the valves this time but watch out, timing chain tensoiners are known to go bad on our motors.
