I just bought my RSX last month. Today was the 3rd time I put gas in it but the 1st time the low gas light was on. The pump said it took 14.657 gallons but the manual says its a 13.2 gallon tank. The light had just come on a couple miles before and the needle was just a hair above "E". Is there a reserve not included in the 13.2 gallons listed? At what point does the low fuel light come on? A 1.5 gallon reserve for a 13.2 gallon tank seems a little high. Should I call the department of wieght and measure about the gas station?

 

sounds like the pump was Fawked up lol. the capacity stated in the manual, includes the reserve.

 

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. . . I've only run it down to the low fuel light once, but I don't even think I put in 13 gal when I filled it up afterwards (of course I also don't ever "top it off" either).

 

I run mine down to teh fuel light all the time. (i'm poor) but I usually only put 12.5 or so.

Do u guys have the type S?? Weird.. the most i've ever filled my tank is up to 10.7 gallons or so.. this was when the lite was on too.

 

I put gas in again the other day, at a different station of course,the gauge was almost on "E" but the light was not on yet and it took 10.6 gallons.I think I'll be contacting the proper authoraties about the gas station.I'd like to know if other people have complained about this station.

 

According to the specs put out by Honda, all models of the RSX have a 13.2 gallon gas tank.
