Default Ground Control coilovers

My RSX-S came with ground control coilovers. The thing is the front ones I cant adjust. The spring seat won't turn. Its like stuck or something. So I just want to make sure ...that is it perfectly fine to unscrew the little bolt that keeps the spring seat together? I want to do that so i can adjust the springs and clean out the threaded sleave.

Any help or comments are appreciated. Thank you

if it is the allen bolt on the gold piece of the coil over then yes you have to unscrew it to adjust them. Also, if there is some road grime or crap on the red threads then take some carb cleaner or contact cleaner and spray them off. It works really well and helps so you can adjust them easier.

You should just need to loosen the bolt. Don't take it all the way out. It might be kind of a pain to put it back in....
