Well then that's just dangerous. The stock tires don't have a high level of grip in the wet or dry and, well, SUCK. I switched to Potenza S-03's on my old RSX-S (long story) and she was solid as a rock at 140...I tried doing it with the stock Michelins and it was scary...lots of wandering and the grip was not there. I felt like it was a damn F-16 with the Potenza's though

I remember those Wilderness AT's! I went through that Ford recall program twice with my explorer.

:fawk: Firestone

Stock Michelins? I had those baby chirping in 2nd and 3rd in rental RSX SS.

sorry to thread-jack, but what about an OBD-1 GSR? I've had mine to 134-135 indicated, but not sure how accurate that is, so... thanks. And sorry again for the thread-jacking... : )

Agreed. For an all-season tire they are a very aceptable compromise for wet, dry, and snow traction. I have never "piloted" an RSX-S with better tires but I can only imagine how that thing handles...on rails I tell ya'

Wow....REALLY bad idea. Rain and high speeds is a bad combo no matter what kinda tires you're running. I just hit my Type S at 125 on open dry freeway yesterday...too bad there was a prelude infront of me doing the same....otherwise....

Anyone take theirs past 148?

^ I highly doubt the computer would allow any higher than that. i'm surprised that people have had to 148...

145 and lower sounds more feasable to me.
