Default miles before mods?

I have a 2 month old types with a little over 2000 miles on it right now. When would you consider the complete break in period? I am talking when everything is settled in. I am asking because I do not have a lot of time on my hands to be able to pull my car apart to install anything except for spring break (3-15 to 3-23) and am thinking of ordering some parts to put on during that time I have off. I work and go to school full time and only have tuesdays and thursdays off from work, those are the two days I have school, so you can see I am pretty busy.

Mod away Every Honda is redlined on a dynograph (dynanometer? whatever. You get my drift.) as soon as it rolls off the assembly line to ensure it makes the advertised horsepower. That's how tight the engine is made. Break in is really not an issue

We Redlined our RSXtypeS right off the dealer's lot. We've done that with every car we bought new, and we have been buying new Hondas and Acuras since 1982. I even did it with the trucks (domestic and import) I bought new.

I was just wondering because a friend of mine, that has a Nissan SER blew his Mass airflow sensor after he installed an intake.
