Anyone having problems with RSX's base model transmission should visit http://www.acuradefect.com/ to join a campaign to have Acura/Honda fix the freakin problem.

The gear grinds are supposed to be in the Type S, I was unaware the base had a similar malfunction. :dunno:

My buddy had lots of problems with his same generation civic. Had a nasty noise going into 1st and 2nd. He had tranny repaired 3 times, case replaced once. He ended up trading it in on a new one, figured it was a factory defect and the Honda factory rep was a complete ass about it. He did get screamin deal on a 2004, the dealer knows he has a steady customer and did the right thing
