new RSX owner
I just purchased a brand new 2003 RSX w/ ebony leather interior last week and I couldn't be any happier. I got a great deal on the '03 so I couldn't pass it up. Sorta wish they had an '03 type-s, but oh well. If I feel the need for more HP, I'll get a turbo w/ modest boost. I traded in a '03 civic-ex, so this car is definitely an upgrade. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to use the eibach prokit springs I took off the civic with the RSX? I know the part numbers are different and I plan on calling eibach anyway to find out, but I figured I'd ask anyway. If I can use them it saves me some money. I'm happy right now with the handling of the RSX, but I did love the handling of the civic with the eibachs. The moment I sat in this car I knew the quality was a major step up. Actually the interior is what sold me on the car. I'm 6-4 and 300lbs and I fit with room to spare, unlike squeezing into the Civic. I doubt I'll do anything the the exterior of the car. I like to keep all the upgrades on the performance side, not cosmetics. But, until some of the newness wears off, I not doing anything.

Hey man congrats. I love the RSX, it's an awesome car. Probably the easiest to drive manual transmission car on the marketplace.
The part numbers may different, and while the RSX/7th gen Civic share the same platform, it may still not work quite right. You can always sell your used Eibachs from your Civic towards money on your new springs (whatever they may be).
Keep it clean. Rims+drop+Apexi WS-2 exhaust and you're golden.

yeah, I'll have to call eibach and find out what my options are. I'm not really sure yet if I even want to alter the ride I have right now. The RSX already handles well and the ride is firm, which is how I like my cars to ride, so I don't know yet. I do plan on installing a strut tower brace like I installed on the civic. I've always used Neuspeed braces and have been impressed but if anyone has experience with something better for the RSX, speak up. Only other issue I have is when I had the dealer remove all the stupid pinstripes(why do they put that crap on?) from the car, the detail shop didn't get all the glue residue off the paint. Anyone know what type of chemical I could use to totally clean it off. It's only in small streaks on one side of the car. I just don't feel like going back to the dealer if I can get something to clean it off myself. Any special detailing products that could do the job?
