Default K-Series

i was wondering, is it possible to drop in a K20A into a 4th generation prelude?

also, what is better

the H22A 200HP
or
K20A 200 HP

which has more torque, which can be manhandled more?

or is it basicly the same?

k series motors are mounted backwards compared to our motors
they also spin clockwise which makes them the first honda motor to do this

i know of no mount kit for this, but you could make one because anything is possible

i believe the h22a makes more torque that the k20a

actually our motors spin backwards and the k20 is the first to spin the normal way.

supposedly the k series has more potential and stronger internals but doing this swap would be an intense PITA. I'd stick with an H series for simplicity's sake.

s2k was the first honda motor to spin clockwise.

i said they were "mounted" backwards
and that the engine spun clockwise

how can there be a "normal" way for an engine to spin?

true, however earlier f series didnt, including the f20b SiR-T
the predecessor block to the s2k

so i should have phrased that differently

I've droven my friends RSXS its very quick. RSXS is lighter than a prelude though.

actually, curb weight for the type S is 2767, so it's not really that much lighter than the prelude. I think the thing that makes a difference is torque. While the USDM K only has 10 less, it's where that torque kicks in that matters. Peak torque hits at 6 grand on the k, and it's, what, 5500 on the h22? Look, overall, it's not really "better" per se, and if there were reasons, they aren't great enough to even try swapping on into a prelude, but hey, you'd be famous if you did.

my friend has a rsx type s and i have a 99 prelude type sh w/ a cold air intake and we raced yesterday...it was a good race but rsx pulled ahead in the end.....we started off and i jumped on him and held it for a second then just slowly but gradually here he came slowly coming up on me and eventually passing me...then a few minutes later we did it from a kick maybe around 55 he dropped from 6th to 3rd and i went from 5th to 3rd and again i jumped on him when i down shifted but gradually he pulled until he passed me

so congratulations to my friend on his kill
