fuel filter change
Anyone changed their fuel filter before on their prelude? Can you give me an overview of what needs to be done. Seems simple.
I noticed there's 2 bolts holding a metal band that's holding on the filter itself to the car and then 2 more bolts, one for the in and out. Do I just disconnect all them, take it out, and put in the new one?
Does it need to be in any order? Prep work?

yes, it's simple....the only problem may be that the banjo bolt is really tight, and it's hard to get good leverage on it since it's not mounted really tight...take the band loose last though....and be careful not to hurt the lines...they will bend and give some, but who knows their limit....i've done it in less than 2 minutes before...and if the bolt is stuck, you might spend an hour cursing it.....but really, not difficult
it gets rid of the pressure, but parking your car, opening your gas cap then closing it, then letting it sit a minute will do the same thing.........either would work....worst case scenario, a little gas sprays somewhere....
If its never been replaced the banjo bolt and whatnot are gonna be pretty tight. Be careful not to screw up the mounting bracket that holds it to the firewall. I've done mine 3 times and I do my best not to overtighten it and every time its a pain in the butt to get loose.
Well I just took it over to a friends to use his set of tools and was able to break em free just fine. Took some leverage but it came free.
I removed the gas cap like suggested and didn't have any spilling/squirting.
I picked up a Purolator... got it for $10.
The responce of the car is a little more noticeable and it doesn't seem like it's surging up in RPM's like it was before. I thought it was my tranny but I took it to a specialist and he said the tranny is fine. Maybe next is a good fuel system cleaner or something

I put in some of that pour in the gas fuel system cleaner. I also used a "flush" of the oil system and changed my oil today also.
It's seemed to help a bit, but nothing dramatic.
