Default looking at a 99 lude vtec type sh

hey everyone. Today i went to look at a very nice 99 prelude. Its got a 2.2 vtec engine, 5 speed. Currently i have an acura integra ls with some bolt-ons and a 35 shot. I want to get a new car because the teg is simply not fast enough for me. I was wondering how this prelude (stock) would fair against my teg with nos? Just wondering what to expect, or even if its worth it. It only has 56k miles. My teg has 100k. Also, how do the preludes fair with nos? i am going to put the 35 shot on the lude, if it can handle it. Any idea what kind of 1/4 the lude would run with a 35 shot?

stock you'll get around a 15 second 1/4 mile...still not fast....with a header, intake, exhaust, vafc+tuning you'll be able to get something around 14.5 or so.....that's not too bad.....find a way to make it less heavy, and do better than that...with just a 35 shot, maybe a mid 14 too...not all companies actually get 35hp froma 35 shot..some get more, others less......and on the header, don't waste your money on a dc header....greddy header makes better power and the type s header makes more than that, but isn't cheap.....i have the type s intake on my h22a accord, and it is at least as good as my old AEM CAI...sounds better and feels much better below 4500rpm....top end is about the same though, but it looks stock and i LOVE the sound (did i mention that )

Save yourself some hassle from people that are passionate about it, Nitrous or N2O. Not NOS. NOS is a brand, not a type of product.

As far as I know, Prelude will handle the shot fine.

All Preludes from 97-01 are VTEC.

the lude can handle more than a 35 shot. they have some luders here that have a 75 shot on stock engine.. i dont know how much more you can go without havin to re-do somethin in the engine... ive heard that a car can only handle half its HP in nitrous w/o re-doing anything... i dont know if thats true.. just what ive been hearing.. later.

97+ are open deck and i've seen them handle 100shots easy, but i've also seen them blow up from 50shots...again, tuning is key.....i wouldnt' push it....you could get down into the 13's with a 50 shot and a few bolt ons....$1000 or so altogether

chill, people just hate when nos is thrown around as a descriptor for nitrous.....like calling your jeans levi's when they're rustlers

no harm done....

i dunno.....your teg might be running high 14's/low 15's...i'm just guessing.....so you're probably gonna be about as fast stock vs. your teg now.....
