Rotors and brake pads recommendation
I have a 01 that I AutoX and use PowerSlot slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads. These seem the best compromise for both Street and Track. Becareful of getting more "aggressive" pads. They will eat rotors quick! Check out www.kingmotorsports.com Brakes and Pads are one of those things that you get what you pay for!
Cheap=less braking. Aviod Organic pads at all cost.
p.s. ALL brakes pads WILL generate gas when heated. Slotted rotors do offer a slight advantage over blanks. The slots will help to vent and also "scrape" the pad clean of carbon build up.

All that money for brakes is rather useless. It just looks real good behind your rims. My factory brakes are just about due for replacement, and I'm at 80,000 on all four originals. I'll give the rotors a turn (they're well within spec), coat them, and slap on another set of Honda factory pads good for another 80,000. Probably this weekend. You can get all that high performance stuff if you want. And I'm sure the products are made of better materials than stock Honda products. But you also should look at the increase in performance you get in return for your added investment. Will you even use what some of those brakes are capable of? To be honest, my stock brakes have been phoenominal in emergency braking over 70 mph.
