Anybody here ever painted the 97-01 base model side skirts (the black ones) to match their car? I know a Honda dealer can match the paint perfectly, but at what cost? Is it cheaper just to buy the SH side skirts to match, or to have them painted—what about quality?

YES they can be painted. Keep in mind that the black is actually molded into the plastic. If you paint there is a possibility that they will chip.
Can you even find the color-matched SH pieces? There are some still in inventory but color choices are limited. Personally, I would not bother except in the event you are doing a complete repaint of the car.

 

I called a maccoo and they said they can match the paint. It was pretty cheap.

I bought SH matched colors becasuse it was easier.

 

yeah just buy the after market "MUGEN" style skirts
looks just like the real SH ones
about $100
