Actually you will need a different final drive ratio. I have been over 130 and there are not many places on hte East coast to do that with any degree of safety. At the track the car get to about 120 tops and that is pushing it at Pocono (I'm conservative).
It really is a matter of wind resistance and gear ratios.

I've been over 100 many times, up to 130 once..... even for me, that is quite a thrill and a hair raiser. I don't think I'd ever try it again. But I will say this: the car does feel stable up to 120, then it starts to loosen up a bit. At 130 the steering started to feel a little vague. I choose to keep her under 120. I just cringe at the thought of loosing control at that speed. So when that thought enters my head, it usually makes me slow down.
I tried it all the way up to 150 mph. The rev went past the redline (7400 rpm) and almost to the fuel cut off (7900 or 8000 rpm). The rev was around 7800 when it hit 150 mph and it got stuck there so I'm not sure if the it continued to go faster to around 151 or 152 when it finally cut off the fuel. The car did not shake at all but my car is also 2 1/2 inches low and I'm running on 225 wide tires so maybe that helped.
