Corner marker lights
Ok, if anyone doesnt know i have my HID's in, the stock coner markers are like a yellowish color... i bought blue, to accent the HID's... now as for locating the housing under the hood is impossible, do i have to take out my headlight to get to that corner marker or is there another way? Thanks to anyone!
They're kind of a pain in the ass to take out. They fit way too tight and they feel like they're going to break when you're pulling on them. When you pop the hood follow the seam between the headlight and the clear corner, on your right above the clear corner(if you're on the driver's side)there will be a tiny black screw with a Philips head ("star") on it . Take it out,put it in a safe place so you don't lose it.Now gentlely(at first, yours may be easier than mine) pull towards you then out away from your car,if it's stubborn like mine is you may have to use your screwdriver as a "prybar" and carefully pry it out of you car.Note: Honda made the wiring harness extremely short(at least in my Lude) so take it nic and slow when easing it out so you don't rip it out. That's basically it I hope that's what you were looking for.I f you have any problems or questions please feel free to write back, or e-mail me(you've already got it).Good luck!!
Sup thanks for the reply... but i think its more than one screw holding it in i hanked on mine for 10 min and nothing... there are 2 phillips heads one that looks regular and the second right below it looks different than a regular screw... help!!!
Nope. It's really just the one screw. I've taken mine out a few times. First time we had to actually pry them out with popcicle sitcks and screw drivers. Good thing I was taking them out to replace them.
They slide about 1/4" straight forward from the front of the car... the you have to fanagle the other little piece of the top bracket out. It's not easy and took me about a hour my first time
h: with help from a friend.
Mine was just one single small phillips head screw each.
Once you get them out... I'd recommend take 5 mins and clean the 2 "snap in connector" things and put a spot of lube on them. Next time will be MUCH easier.

Ok, one question do i have to take out my head light to get to the corner marker? Or can i just take out the corner marker it self. Also i mentioned there are 2 phils head screws, one much smaller than the other, i took out the small one hoping that one was it cuz thats what it was attached to and i push and pryed and nothing... i was like are you kidding me. Please help i will try again later...
No, you don't have to take out your headlights, the corners come out seperately.I looked at mine again today (as I had to do an Oil change) and the hole for the small philips head screw is almost like a "keyhole"(like in old doors with skeleton keys),but trust me there is only one screw. When you're pulling it out though it feels like you've missed something.Take your time I can't stress this enough, they are a total bitch to get out.Clikwir is right too take the time to clean the harness(connector) while yu've got it out,it also wouldn't be a bad idea to rub some thin grease(not WD-40)on the contacts of your new bulbs to prevent corrosion.Hope this helps a little more!!
Your right i should be more patient... will do the lube stuff tho... also in my lude i have 2 phillips head screws a much bigger one... and a smaller one. In something that looks like a key hole. Ill try yet again...
Thanks guys!
