Default My first car. awwwww...

Ok, Im new here, Im 19, just got my first real car. Its a 93 prelude Si with a swapped engine. The new engine is a non-vtec (dun dun dunnnnn) H23 A3. I would just like to know what the best place to start tuning/modding it is. In other words, If you were in my position what would you have done first to your car? Im planning on getting the Invader type-4 kit on it along with some LEDs and eventually lambo doors. Other than that I have no idea what to do to it. Thanks for any help...

AEM CAI, DC Sports header, APEXI WS exaust.

Some NGK spark plugs too.

That's a manual right?

As for the LED's... Jam Strait has about the best ones... they are a bit more expensive, but they fit and work perfect.

hmm.

i personally would not get a body kit, LED's and lambo's...

instead i would take the 3500 bucks from not doing those "mods", resleeve block, get pistons, turbocharge the hell out of it, and destroy every "showcar" you see on the road. to me it's more important to be fast, than to look fast...

but that's just my personal opinion...

Ya Ill try and get some pics up soon. Its white, an AUTO :jerkit: . But its the only one I could find for sale in my small ass town (Clarksville, TN). As for the body stuff, Im just trying to get my outside to look nice really quick cuz me and my friends are starting up a car club and they want me to be able to at least look nice for an upcoming show.

In case anyone's interested, the name of our club is Trinity S. It stands for the 3 fundamental S's. Speed, Sound, and Style.

Right now, we got my friend David, he's got a 2000 civic hatchback,
this guy mike with a CRAZY 95 Accord
Ryan with a YAMAHA ZFR 1000 (yes we have bikes too)
Jason with a 99 civic with a crapload of Zex Nitrous just blasting into the engine.
Matt with a tight ass 2002 celica
John with "The best Daewoo in the world"
my prelude
Some Mitsubishi and some guy with another Civic just joined last night

Were only sponsored by one place right now, but they told us that we would be the only people they sell LED's to. And they are the only place in town that sells/installs them. SWEEEEEET.

Oh yeah one quick question. My check engine light keeps coming on. Now i know I've got a different engine from what the chip is supposed to be for, and the guy i bought it from resetted the comp, so do I have to get a new chip or what? Everything else is fine.

Ok im officially pissed off. Not more than a month of being off the lot my car is in the shop. Apparently I broke the shift linkage cable. Normally it would be very hard to pull my car out of park. I would litteraly have to grab the thing with both hands and pull hard as crap to get it to any other gear (auto) and on friday I get to my car to find out the shifter moves freely without having to push in the button, and my car only goes in reverse and neutral. Grrrrrrrr.

Hopefully I can get it out of the shop early this week. Then I can finally get my kit on. I also need a new paint job. White just aint cutting it. What you guys think about all silver with gunmetal wheels? Or maybe black with gunmetal and Jap symbols on car?

Seems your leaning more towards the cosmetics end of things. Which is ok, it's your car. I, probably wouldn't put on a body kit or maybe just a small lip and the symbols I think would just be aweful.

Silver preludes are nice. Nothing wrong with that... even gunmetal or more common name of graphite pearl I think would look awesome.

In the end... when all is said and done... it's your car and you do what YOU think looks good. Yea there's always someone who's not going to agree with your choices, so you really have to take about 90% of your oppinion and only 5% of everyone elses... the other 5% should probably be worrying about cost and the logistics of what your going to do, how much work, will it last, stolen, etc.
