Default Creaking type sounds

I've been noticing a lot of creaking sounds when I'm slowing down or stopped at a light and rolling forward... I don't think too much of them, bu tthought I get an opinion...

it's a 2000 lude, just incase you didn't see it in the car type.

I have the same issue. I have a 2000, non-sh, manual prelude. I asked the honda mechanic to check it out - but they couldn't find it. But they did confirm its not the clutch.

Mine come from the front - i think its suspension related. It happens more often when the weather is cold. and when I break hard and then start again.

I have the same sounds. Used to bother me, but not anymore, I'm used to them. My car didn't do this when it was brand new, but after 20K miles or so I started hearing a creaking noise coming from somewhere in the front. It occurs when I get on or off the brakes at a stop and seems to be worse if it is hot weather and the A/C is on. I don't THINK it is anything to worry about. Mine still does it, now with 76K and it hasn't gotten any worse. With other issues I have with the car now, the creaking noise just isn't important.
Oh, its not the brakes, I've gotten new rotors and pads put on and it stiill creaks. I think the noise comes either from the suspension or the motor mounts. By the way, does your car have an idle vibration. Mine started having a slight idle vibe just about the same time the creak started. I son't know if there is a relationship or not.
