while i agree that i'd probably need to shore up some of the skills (is anyone always a perfect driver?), i wasn't 100% sure what kind of setup he was running. by the look of it, the FMIC he had probably told the story. i won't make any excuses. he was faster than me, bottom line. I'm not in it to pretend to be the fastest thing on the west coast. Or pretend that my car is a 996 in sheep's clothing. I know how long my cock is.

I've seen guys in stock civics destroy s2000 times, i've seen guys in NSX's get creamed by WRX's and yes some people aren't driving their cars to potential, keep in mind others are driving extremely well given the equipment. give the SC2 guy his due, he'd probably beat most of you guys by a few seconds...

about the SRT-4 vs Lude, sure i'd rather drive a lude which is why i'm driving one, but let's not get it twisted. a 2.4L I4 Turbo with 215 bhp and 245 lbft of torque vs a lude with 200 and 160 is no contest. And when you spend the 6,000 to make your all motor lude to run low 14's, and the SRT-4 spends the same money or even half that to hit 300 some odd hp and 13's...

once again the topic above isn't about style or reliability or which car will pull more chicks, or how much more you like your lude--it's about #'s. A SRT-4 driven to potential vs lude driven to potential, $ for $ won't be all too close. while you're getting all new internals, all sorts of engine management, VAFC, throttle bodies etc, Mr Neon prob just needs an uppipe, exhaust, and an ECU Reprog, and he's probably dyno'ing 250+ for less than a G.
