Sadly the SRT-4 owns us all.

The thing is ugly as sin too...

but hey i'm getting used to it, some guy in a saturn SC2 was beating me around the track by a good 2-3 seconds a couple of weekends ago.

ha, I got my '93 prelude for 5,800 and probably spent about 5-6k on it and those little srt4s dont stand a chance, all motor h22, I don't think you can drive the car to its full capability if you got beat my a saturn sc2

You are comparing apples to grapes..... put a turbo on a Prelude then tell me. Dodge is cheating with that car. And no, variable valve timing does not make it even -- that's comparing forced induction to naturally aspirated.

haha this is hilarious. you cant compare a prelude to a dodge.
if you think the dodge is better cuz its "faster" then get one.
you'll see me wid a hot chick in my car and a fat uglee one in yours. because a prelude has more class thank you.
:driving:
btw the prelude will still be running after ten years, unfortunately the dodge will end up giving you so much maintenance problems you'll just give up and shoot urself in the head for getting one.

personally I hate the neon too, but it is fast, and you are actually the one that doesn't stand a chance if you are only running low 14's.

1. You haven't learned how to drive your car yet.

2. You should not go public with the fact that you don't know how to drive your car.

3. Learn how to drive your car.

whoever is saying the neon to prelude comparison is unfair is just mad that the neon won. i like preludes a whole lot more then neons, but i know when i'm beat. the thing i want to see is whether or not it will be plagued by dodge's poor reliability problems, and just how much juice can be squeezed out of that engine. I very much like the fact that dodge had the balls to build this sport compact hotrod, and think that it will launch a sport compact horsepower war. actually, the wrx prolly started it, but dodge is bringin the war to the loewr $$$ ranges I'd buy a 200+ bhp turbo'd from the factory civic

Who's comparing the Dodge to the Prelude? All I said was the Dodge is faster.

And how is Dodge cheating? The S2000 is NA, for instance. The Dodge FI. They're both equally fast.

I see nothing but jerkoff punks driving riced out Neons, anyway. Hongoprelude is right..... a Prelude exudes much more class and is so much more refined than any Dodge could dream to be. Preludes aren't slouches, and I can place a serious bet that I would not loose to any stock Saturn on any track, straight or curved. You must all remember, comparing cars is a moot point if you don't compare apples to apples...... turbo for turbo, wheel for wheel, mod to mod. In other words, equal modifications or stock vs stock.

Yes, it is cheating. Dodge needs turbos to get the punch of a Honda 2 liter VTEC because they are too far behind engineering times to have an NA VVT reliable design. So, they use FI and cheat. Less homework for the measly engineers in Detroit.
