Default Thermal Exhaust question

Hey, I have a quick question. I have heard the sound of the Thermal classic, and it sounds pretty damn nice. I was thinking about getting one. The only question I have is, why the hell is it that everywhere I go, the exhausts look different? How many different Thermal Classic exhausts do they have? There is only one good looking one (in my opinion) which I have attached to the post. does anyone know where I could buy the exhaust like the one in that picture? everytime I find a thermal exhaust for a prelude, it looks different than that one. Thanks. P.S. are there other types of thermals and if so, do they look/sound good?

Hey man, they actually have two different one that they make for Preludes. The pic you posted looks like the one I JUST bought. The one with the single outlet is the one for the 4th Gen ludes. The one that they make for the 5th Gen Ludes look closer to stock exhausts. They have the dual outlet tips.

I wish I had the dual outlet tips on mine. I am going for the sleeper look.

Good luck in getting yours. I am still waiting to have mine installed.

is it possible to modify the catback exhaust at all so that the 4th gen Thermal will fit on a 5th gen lude? I dont like the look of the dual tip exhaust. I only like the single slanted one =]

considering the 4th and 5th gen ludes share the BB chassis code, the exhaust systems should be very similar. i know the majority of suspension components will swap from a BB1 to a BB6 chassis.

the difference is the header downpipe, the B-pipe, and the cat as they have different lengths on the BB1 chassis. even with that, i still think the muffler itself should be able to be swapped over from a BB1 to a BB6 application as the routing is very similar. maybe you can order the 5th gen B pipe with a 4th gen muffler and just bolt the two together.

IMO i prefer my dual tip stealth setup.

Hey, do you happen to have any sound clips of the thermal stealth sound? I have heard the normal thermal like the one above and I love the sound of it, was wondering what the stealth sounds like. Or do you know of anywebsites that have the sound? I already tried www.listentomyexhaust.com nothing there
