Default A couple Q's for those w/ JDM headlights (4g.)

Well, I just got my new JDMs put in, and wanting to change out the stock bulbs, I noticed the low beams are H4's. My question is why the hell did they choose to use a dual filament bulb when it is only used as a low beam, and the H1 is the high beam? Is there any way to utilize the high beam function of the H4? So there could be 2 sets of high beams?

well, I may have been wrong as to those being H4's, but since those bulbs are a major PITA to get out of the headlamp, could somebody please clarify all this?

yes they are h4's. and yes they are only used as lows, and the h1's as highs. reason? who knows. maybe they give out better light then 9006's. maybe honda got them for cheaper.
