What kind of tint do you guys think will look best on a silver 5th gen. Prelude?

When I was set on getting a black Lude, I was going to get 5% limo tint without a doubt. But now that I am going to get a silver Lude---I am thinking that maybe jet black tint isnt the best idea.

What do you guys think?

Its black leather interior---so its gonna be hot, need the tint!

 

My bro has a silver lude, and he has this tint, but not limo, because he wants to be able to see out at night. He paid like 250 dollars because this tint reduces the Texas sun like 60% or something. I think he got 35% in the front (legal) and like 20% or something in the rears. Definately not Limo which is 5% I think.

Yeah maybe Ill get 35% all over. I am going to get the same on all the windows except the windshield, whatever I do.

And jet black windows (5%) on a silver Lude wouldnt look too good I dont think. But I need it somewhat dark to cool the black leather.

 

I think 35 is the legal for the fronts, but the back you can get 20% or something. I have that on my lude and it look pretty good. I have a EGP (98). and my brother the Satin Silver (2001)

I am thinking maybe 30-35% on ALL the windows, even the windshield if its not going to the be that severe.

Arent there different shades of tint you can get? Like black, mirror tint, a greenish tint, etc.?

Would jet black still look best?

 

Uh.... I think tint on the windshield is illegal. At least in Texas and Cali. In texas 35% is the legal limit for the front 2 windows the back could be anything. I would stay away from mirror tint. I personally think it looks wierd. I would go with Black or "platinum". It reflects better but not mirror, so it reflects off black / dark cars really good.

I had a black Prelude with leather, and I had 5% put ontop of the factory tint. Damn was it dark, and it took awhile to get used to at night. My leather still got hot, but probably not as hot if I didn't have the tint....With a silver lude, I'd still get black tint put on

 

Yeah I like the look of black tint---although I am quite curious as to what platinum tint is going to look like.

5% seems TOO dark, actually. I am thinking maybe 20%. I want it to be worth the money, but not look stupid.

 

lol thats funny windsheild tint! anywho i have like 35% tint on my 4th gen lude and took it to the dmv yesterday and failed, i failed for that leds wiper lights, gas cap, and exhaust system leak. i am pissed about the leak wtf!!!!!!!! the guy who sold it to me said it was in excelent condition with no problems, f'ing GAS CAP! thats bs too
