Hi all. I am curious if anyone has ever taken the dashboard off and looked to see if the lights in behind are of an orange color, or if the gauges are the actual piece that makes the dashboard glow up a dull white, almost orangish hue to the light.

I want my dashboard to look like the new accord, a bright white lighted dash. Looks real damn good. Also the new Corolla's have the same well lit dashboard, so I wanna convert my dashboard over to the bright. But like I asked, I am just curious if it is the bulb that is just not a white bulb, or if the gauges are tinted orange a bit.

K, I understand what you are saying. Which way would it be easier to change over? If the bulb was orange? or if the gauge itself was orange? I would think it would be easier if the bulb was orange because then you would just have to change the bulb rather than the gauge, I am going to ask someone I know who put indiglos on theirs and had it opened and see what they say and then I will post it.

nevermind i see u were referring to the gauge cluster

most ppl just get reverse indiglo gauges so they dont bother changing the stock lighting.. but i'm currently experimenting with that and i'll post it up when i'm done

 

I have a 2001 Prelude SH and would like to know what can be done with the typical orange dash lights as well, meaning I know that a gauge kit can be purchased to change the gauges, but how do you change the lights such as AC, and Heat buttons and the rest on the dash.
