yes, but did you feel a noticeable difference in power when you removed the belt? if not then there is an argument either way for keeping it or removing it

i put in a h23 tranny at the same time as i took the belt off so i cant really say the exact gains. but i did run a 15.6 in a mostly stock prelude s 5spd. only the act clutch, h23 tranny and removed balancer belt. im guessing around 10-12 hp. last week on the dyno we took the a/c belt off the itr we were working on and picked up 5hp. the balancers are harder to spin by hand than the a/c pully is. and they turn at 2x the engine speed where the a/c spins at about 75% of the engine speed
