cracked A-pipe

My mechanic says that theres a crack in the A-pipe and thats why theres a rattling noise when I'm on the brakes at a red light. Its a 97 Prelude btw. He thinks that Honda had a recall on the A-pipe anyone know of such a thing?

aftermarket headers usually break at the downpipe support bracket.

it only happened with both DC headers i owned, but not the stock manifold.
