Gutting cat?
I have a 97 honda prelude as my beater car. I just put AEM CAI and DC sport header on. I plan on getting a cat-back exhaust eventually. But, would it benifit me to gut my stock catilatic converter? Any hp at all or will i loose tourqe. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks

hm.. i just bought a 'high flow' CAT (obx racing).. they are cheap.. less then 100$... usually about 60-70..
i just installed it today, and i can feel the difference... i like it :-P
my old one was worn out anyways..
and you do know you wont pass emissions testing for inspection with a gutted cat or a "racing cat" (aka testpipe/fancy gutted cat)

What do you think of the Z06? And compared to the Prelude? I hear such conflicting things... out handles everything but a Porsche on one hand, burns tons of oil on the other... I don't know what to believe. Like to hear the opinion of someone into Hondas, though.
