Default Looking for 92-96 Lude...Any advice?

Hey guys,

I'm lookin for a 92-96 Prelude. I was just wondering what the best places to find them are and what one that is in reasonably good condition with 100K miles on it would cost? Any feedback would help. Thanks a lot!

well best i can tell ya is i paid $5800 for my 92 si like 2 years ago and it had around 112,000 miles on it and after checking around i found that this was a damn good price. i worked with a girl that sold her 92 si for $7000 with a little over 200,000 miles on it, that to was about 2 years ago. you just got to look they are out there and you can find a good deal. just watch your self cause i see your from CA. i was looking around a site for salvage cars and found a 93 or 94 si in CA. for $5k with a blown 2.3L and i mean blown up. i thought that was way to much.

hm.. not my generation, but I know a few people with that gen. You can get those in AWS (all wheel steering).. that's pretty neat.

i dunno how big you are on VTEC, but 2.3L is non-VTEC..

but you should be able to find one pretty cheap.. my friend bought a 93si for 6800 with 80000 miles on it. (east coast though)

just dont grab the first thing you see.. that's my advice. a good deal will come around eventually.

thanks for the input guys. I have noticed some good deals on eBay, but you know how that goes. I really like to look over a car and drive it before I make my decision. I would like to have a VTEC if possible, but it's not mandatory. anyways, thanks a lot.

I got my 96 Vtec, for 9100 and 100k on the odometer. It was allright but i needed new belts, 100k service and a new clutch. Other than that she loving the TLC i have been giving her since her last owner didn't know how to properly treat her.

I got my 96 S for $9k with about 72k miles. Has some usual wear on it... nothing major. Was a solid buy. I've done just regular maint and things that I wasn't sure when last/if they had been done. Tranny drain/fill for example, new tires, brakes/rotors.

Like epoxy said, don't jump at the first one you see. Wait for a good one... I jumped and now I have a base model S wishing I had the VTEC. Get AT LEAST the Si. VTEC is preferable by far!

That's funny my friend bought a GS-T and the odometer said 85K on it I believe. Anyway he turned his turbo up and it shot a rod or something through his engine and out the roof. Turns out the actual engine in it was from a junkyard with 150,000 on it. HA!
