How about staying stock. This assumes that you have NO serious internal mods and that you do not live at 'redline' all the time. IF you have an engine with a lot ofmiles and other issues, then you might consider an upgrade. Will it improve performance-do a before and after dyno--do not go by any other test (IMO).

Just about everyone I've seen that does do the upgrade goes MSD. However, I know two people personally who've had failures with MSD's, and on the boards have seen a few as well. Personally I'm with jc836 there's no real point unless you've done everything else already.

I currently use an MSD 6A,an MSD blaster 2 coil and Magnecor wires. The reason I upgraded is because I'm using nitrous. If all you've got is just the bolt ons with no porting/polishing or forced induction than I wouldn't really worry about it and spend you're money elsewhere. If you really want to get it done than you might also want to consider a Jacob's ignition because they make them application specific for each vehicle.good luck.
