First I would like to give shouts to all the old school members in here. Its been a long time....very few may remember me as Riceburner91....I believe I was a member in 99 or 00....anyways on to my question. I have a 97 'Lude SS. Surprise surprise the tranny is going out.....well at least the torque convertor is. As is the case I will not be putting another auto in. I cannot "just sell it and buy a 5-speed" b/c well it won't sell as it is and I'm a broke college kid. So what I need is an exact list of parts for the conversion. My memory tells me I need the tranny, shift linkages, hydraulic lines and cables, axles, starter, the lil resovoir, brake and clutch pedal from a 5-speed...and yeah thats all I can think of. So if you know please enlighten me.

 

I did one on my sol, but it's all the same. You're right, but I'll list everything to make sure I don't forget anything.
Tranny
motor mounts
clutch and brake pedal
clutch master cylinder
clutch slave cylinder
hydraulic lines
starter
the axles SHOULD be the same
Flywheel
clutch
shift linkage
you'll need to modify the plate to attach the shifter under the car
depending on the car, the rear motor mount
shift boot and ring for inside the car
a little wire jumping to get the key to come out of the ignition
5spd ecu (if you don't want it throwing a code all the time)
and that should about sum it up...
