speakers?
96 prelude, accross the dash on both left and right look like there's a cloth cover over something. Are those speakers?
I haven't gotten the time yet to try and take them off and see if they are just for design or if they house some speakers.
Speakers in my Prelude are shot and I need new ones. Would like some components and wanna know if that's a good place to put them.

Well I've been sick for about a week, get your flu shots, this **** is NOT worth it. Anyway, I happened to be a passenger in my own car tonight... weird. I decided to see if I could pop off the cloth grill thingy. Came off really easy, almost too easy... but sure enough there was just a big empty hole there. Needless to say I will be putting some nice Infinity Referance Component tweeters there.
Maybe if a friend lets me borrow a digital camera I'll take some before/after pics.

Anyone know where I can get some pics of a VTEC with some speakers there in the dash? I'd like to see how Honda put them there and possibly mimick it. I tried some google searching but couldn't find any pics with the covers off that were actually showing the speakers.
my '93 si came with tweeters there, I bought my car used just over 4 years go so I don't know if that was a dealer option or whether the previous owner had aftermarket ones installed.Anyway if you need to check they're super easy to take off. They are just snapped in with clips.Just take it slow and of course careful and you can find out.
My 94 Si has tweeters as well ... right, we have a consensus, and vtecguy's facts are a bit skewed. What I would like to know though (too lazy to go and check), are those tweeters 1" or 1.5"? Thanks.
