Default Underdrive Pulleys

What is the advantage of aftermarket underdrive pulleys? Are they just built stronger that stock, or vibrate less? just wondering.

they're bigger than stock so they don't draw as much power to the parasitic devices. Just think of a bike when you change the back gears higher.

Beware of the damage its may cause your motor...I read on a different board, someone put one on their car, and it ****ed up his bearings and threw the timing way off

there is a lot of potential danger with an aftermarket crank pulley.

Default crank pulley

wasup . im new to this board so welcome me. so anyway...yeah about this topic. i would like to know the eFFECT after installing the crank pulley. does it f**** up the bearings cuz i just ordered a set 2 days ago. and i was wondering if i should cancel it. what do you guys think/??/?

There's still no concrete evidence that the crank pulley causes uneven wear on the engine. Some people have had problems while others have gone 40k+ miles with none whatsoever. If you want to play it safe, which I did, just get the AEM TruPower Pulley set. It only replaces your alternator and power steering pulley. This won't/shouldn't cause any problems at all.

how long did you have your crank pulley set installed? no damage done to your engine?

Oh, I don't have the crank pulley. I've been surfing prelude forums for a while and that's just the information I've gathered. Some people have no problems, while others do. I just have the AEM alternator and power steering pulley.
