Default blinker problem

my car is a 93 prelude 4WS. Like any other car, the blinker is supposed to turn off automatically when the wheel centers. however, when im turning right it turns off about an 8th of a turn before becoming centered and when im turning left it doesnt turn off until im about an 8th of a turn past center. how can i fix this?

thanks

Is your steering wheel centered correctly? If it isn't perfectly straight/lined-up when the car is traveling straight down the road, that's the problem. Regardless of any possible alignment issues (pulling to one side), the wheel should be centered when the car is going straight.

Otherwise I'd take the cover off the column and have a look
