the f22 and h22 are not compatabile. sohc-dohc, plus many others...the h22/h23 are the same block, look up the part #'s. the thing is the h23 r/s ratio to start off with. there is also some things you must do to make it run right...its got the bad name from the same way the ls/vtec first did, people not doing it right and then blaming the engine for blowing up. thing is not so many people mess w/h series as to b series, so it hasnt been perfected and shared as commonly, so the rumors still fly.

for orignal questions, the h22 came w/an auto in japan in the 4th gen, so you will just need an auto ecu, and tcm...however i dont know if there is any gear ratio differences...i do have an h22 for sale though

Ok, so if a head swap is out of the question... and an engine swap and a turbo are just too much money for me now. Are there any other upgrades that I could do to this F22 that can help me out a bit.

If I could get the money, I'd love to swap in an H22. But it would take me forever to save up enough for that. Any suggestions, I've got some suggestions for an AEM Cold Air Intake, I gatta find a deal on that or some other brand. $150+ for one of those, I think, is too expensive. Already have a performance muffler on the way.

How about DC Headers? Would they help performance or just look good?

if you think $150 is too much then you better find a new hobby. i say that if you're going to do things, do them right. get the best part that you can even if it takes saving all of your money for two weeks.

It's not that $150 is too much, I think it's too much for one of them. When I see others going for $50-75. I think they are just overpriced a bit and don't want to pay that much.

Yes, other brands is what I'm refering to. Ok, lets assume I find a nice AEM CAI for a good price somewhere... what are some other upgrades that would net some good horses? DC Headers?

the basic bolt on horespower gainers are CAI, headers, and exhaust. also a tune up will always help.
the best price ive seen for AEM CAI is like 189.
