I have a 99 lude and when ever I trigger the dome light (or open the door) I lose power to my ACC wire that turns on my stereo. In addition, my dome light never comes on. When I turn off the dome light (or close my door), I regain power to my ACC wire.

Anyone know what can be causing these symptoms? I havent looked to see is the fuse to the dome light is burnt, but i wouldnt think it would cause me to lose ACC power. Is there something corky with the cars brain? is there a plug that my need connected that might have come off? Anyone know what might cause this?

 

I remember reading of a security issue similar to that once the stock radio is removed. Search around here and you should find something on it, though I can't say for sure it's the same problem as yours.

I believe I saw it in the Civic/DelSol forum.

 

well it was the interior lights fuse (10A) that blew. I replaced it and it all works now. It was just confusing because it was killing the power to my stereo every time the light was suppose to come on.
