Default h23+h22 head?

Does anyone have first hand experience with this combination? I have a h23 block sitting and i found a h22 head for cheap so I am going to rebuild it and sell it or swap it in my em1 civic. Is it a straight bolt-on swap? Any machining? Thanks.

not a bolt on swap. If you have never built an engine before, i would suggest leaving it to someone who has.

I have built me b series but not a h. Im just asking if i can just bolt the h22 head to the h23 block? Dont worry about if i am mechanically inclined enough to do it. If it sounded like i was asking if it is a bolt-on swap into me civic thats not what i was asking. I know what is needed for a swap. I had a feeling that it may be like the ls/vtec setup for the b series. (dowel pin, oil line)

swaping heads on h series blocks much more difficult than an ls swap. talk to one of the techs at a local honda dealership
