98 prelude tranny problems PLEASE HELP!
My check engine light came on resently so I went to autozone to check the codes and 3 trann codes came up P0700(Automatic Transmission Control System), P07400 (Problem in Lock-up Control System), and P1738(Problem in 2nd Clutch Pressure Switch Circuit).
All these codes came up at once. I have not noticed and change in how it shifts.

Did they clear the code? I always recommend that if your vehicle can store freeze data to leave the code there for the diagnostic technician. Sometimes it can be helpful.
Could be an electrical problem, could be a mechanical or hydraulic problem. The transmission could be failing or a solenoid/switch could be failing. It is possible to have rats chew on wires that cause problems, too.
The computer definately saw a problem and I would never recommend to clear the code and forget it. Never know where you are going to be when the car fails. If you can have the system checked out, you'd probably be better off. I'd stay away from a "quicky, cheapy" trans shop and probably let a Honda dealer check it out.

They did not clear the code. I might have to take it to the dealership but from what I have heard on the Accords forum is that they just usally say you need a new tranny when you might not. The Accord forum has tons of info on this subject but not much over here. Pretty much with the accord from what i read if you have a 4cyl its prob the solenoid. If you have a 6cyl your screwed.
Thanks
