I want to replace the dash trim around my stereo with a chrome colored trim, however i don't want to get that crappy molding that sticks to your existing, I want to put a chrome colored one on. Anybody know if this is possible? I searched google and ebay and only found molding....

 

I've never seen someone make molding like that already comes chrome looking. The best way to do that would be to send the molding out and have it "chromed" by a shop. It's not actual chrome, but it looks and shines just like it, it's just not as durable as an actual chrome-plated piece. It's called "Vacuum Metalizing", and there are plenty of places out there that will do it in small and very specific applications for the average consumer. Just Google it, and you'll find plenty of places to choose from.
