My clutch has been making a squeaking sound too, for almost a year now. The sound seems to come and go, so don't be surprised if you hear the sound again in a few days. Keep an eye on your clutch fluid, I have had to add a bit from time to time so I think its more than just a bushing in the firewall. I had the dealer look at it when the car was in for the ignition switch recall, but they told me everything looked fine, so I don't know what to think!
yeah mine comes and go, it started last friday, the 4th, i think it happens when i drive hella fast, i dont know!?! but when i went to get gas, it was making the squeak but after i got the gas, it was gone!! the gas might have did something i dont know! hella weird
I read in another forum (hondaprelude.com) that this happened to a lot of prelude owners, including me. A lot of people say it's the arm that drives the clutch out when you step on the clutch. It squeaks cuz there's there's not enough grease on it. You can see part of sticking out of your tranny, where there's a pivoting rod on it. I know it's this part because when I ask a friend to step on the clutch in and out, the noise is coming exactly from there. I just had my clutch replaced too, but I didn't know it was that part squeaking at the time, else I would've greased it up real good.
