I think it's my distributor bearing...
I WAS RIGHT! >:O the bearing finally completely died and it took a shit inside the cap I opened it up and it pooped out three bearings and a bunch of snapped of teeth from the gear thingy. as well as chewed up a whole lotta stuff.
When I put the new distributor on do I have to do anything to the timing belt?

ok I completely tore apart and rebuilt my distributor. I replaced all the bad parts with good ones but now inside of the distributor are 4 blade wire thingers and I forgot what order the wires go onto that one magnet. anyone wanna help me real quick?
thank you.
very much appreciated. I will now hopefully soon have my little monster back on the roads. I just redid the 4WS control unit. it works like it's brand new.
after I get the timing on my distributor done it's all down hill from there... and onto the roads.

the car turns over but now it sounds like it's not firing or like it's firing against itself..... I have no clue right now. when I try to fire it up it just cranks away. how do I know if gas is getting to it? or is that even the problem? I've rebuilt this distributor way too many times.... the clicking noise went AWAY after I built a new distributor and installed it. I think it's very close to starting again. I just think that maybe my firing order is messed up or something. I know the firing order is 1-3-4-2 and looking at the engine from in front the cylinders are from RIGHT to LEFT 1-2-3-4.... right? My brain just exploded. anyone? all input is greatly appreciated. I'm even thinking about putting on a vtec banner to reduce my friction coefficient by 5%. XD
okay.... I think it's all fixed..... I think the only thing needed now is for the timing belt to be redone. I think when the old distributor finally crapped out it's heart and locked up I think it caused the timing belt to jump a few teeth..... does this sound right to anyone? anyways.... I'm getting it towed to the dealership to be redone and if that doesn't fix it I'll be then looking at an '88 Supra.

Crank the motor to TDC and see if all the marks line up on the cam gears and crank pulley. If not, you can just untension the belt, realign it, and then retension it. If the belt is actually missing teeth, it needs to be replaced.
brain 'sploded.... what? TDC? baby steps man, baby steps. XD this dizzy was my first venture into car repair. I don't mean to be annoying or sound like a noob but could you please explain it step-by-step? I would very much appreciate it. My lude's my life.
