While I agree it will prob be off by some amount, unless you change the wheel size or tires, I don't see how it could be off by 10-15mph...
In that case, why buy V-rated tires, if we're only able to get to 125? Why not use H-rated tires which are rated to 130mph?
Yeah, and if that's the case, then how fast are we going when it says 125? If it is only off after like 130ish then its right at 125 then we continue to accel and the speedo goes up and reaches 140, yet we are still going 125? Please elaborate...
i have a rhd lude ive been building for a while it has 180 km guages u should see passengers faces wen i hit 180 i think its only 120 or 140 mphs not sure

what kind of damage could result from topping your car out, n i hit 135 a couple times, all i have is i/h/e
That depends on how well it has been taken care of, what kind of shape the engine is in, how old/ how many miles it has on it, if it's got all the proper fluids in the correct proportions, etc. If all that is good, then nothing if you only do it every once in a while. But no matter what kind of car you drive, the harder you push it, the quicker things wear out. That goes for cars that are built for racing as well, they are just built stronger. Like I know when I top my car out I tend to burn oil up and I know things on my 91 are getting worn out.
