Find yourself a tire size calculator site online. You need to be within 3% of your stock size, otherwise the speedometer will be too far off, and you will have clearance issues.

http://www.team-integra.net/sections.../tiresizes.asp

Put the original size in there, and the size of the new tire. Start with something like: 205/35/17 or 205/30/17 --It will give you speedometer adjustment too.

Start with something like: 205/35/17 or 205/30/17
Yeah, and then don't ever hit a pothole, road reflector, or even a pebble with that low of a tire! Great way to trash the rims.
205/40/17 is just under the stock tire height for my SI, and that's just about too thin as well (I have two trashed rims to show for it).

I didn't realize preludes had that big of a stock size. 17's look good on ludes, but to much risk IMO. I'm partial to 16's on my teg.

Yeah, if I had thought it through really good I would have gone with 16's rather than 17's... I guess I'm going to go with 205/45's the next time around and see if they last.
17's really do look good, and the shorter sidewalls really reduce the "body roll" feel. Just don't look down at your stereo and hit a pothole like I did

perhaps 215/40s... thats what I have on my 17x7. I dont recommend 17s... 16s are a better choice for performance and safe driving.. I struck a pothole quick.. Really do some research into tire sizes, some people like to run a very narrow tire in the back and a thicker one up front to reduce understeer and help the car rotate a bit... check out the recent tire thread and read my post in there

I have 18's on my 5th gen and they do cause a lot of trouble when it comes to dips and things like that. When i purchased the car it came with them so i never bothered. Just gotta be real careful thats all. The stares from everyone on the road is totally worth it though. The dents arent though.215/35/18, very low profile. If i had a choice i'd go with 17's or 16s depending on tire size.
