OLD EGR VALVE - Cleaned out with carburetor cleaner. Light came back on after 1 - 2 days.

SEMI-NEW EGR VALVE - Installed as is this morning and no light (yet).

If the light comes back on, what other problem could it be?

Ya, i drove 47 miles today and light came back on. This is really pissin me off I think my next step is going to pay to have a egr port cleaned out. I doubt its the actual EGR Valve malfunctiong, cause when light is on, you can open engine and I can hear the valve moving.

Old thread and I'm never on here, but a search yeilded numerous results of code 401 Insuffcient EGR flow, and no one knows (or posts) how to solve it, so here is my $.02.

It is the EGR ports!

EGR is likely 20% of the issue, 80% caused by blocked ports.

look here for one writeup, there's more if you google - http://www.preludepower.com/forums/s...d.php?t=253704

Well, i FINALLY got the EGR ports cleaned out at a local honda shop. Did a pretty good job. Been driving for a whole day now and no more engine light It costs about 130.00 to get them cleaned. Thanks for all the advice on the board and would highly suggest this method to anyone who has same problem.
